Theft- On Friday, September 25, 2020, Lacey Police took several theft reports from local residents.  Each resident reported that campaign signs were taken from their lawns during overnight hours.  Video footage captured two suspects driving a small sedan committing the thefts.  Each sign is valued at $15.

DWI- On Sunday, September 27, 2020, at 11:28 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Lacey Road and Manchester Avenue for a vehicle striking a utility pole.  Upon arrival, Officer Anthony Ravallo discovered that a Dodge Ram pickup had taken down the traffic light and several street signs while proceeding the wrong direction on Ramp A.  The driver, Thomas Maresca, 45, was placed under arrest after being deemed under the influence.  Maresca was released after being charged with numerous offenses including DWI and Reckless Driving.  The Ocean County Department of Transportation responded to reinstall the traffic control signal and signs.

Invasion of Privacy- On Monday, September 28, 2020, at 4:00 p.m., Officer Michael Hutman took three reports from female victims who reported similar circumstances.  Each victim reported that an unknown suspect hacked into their Instagram accounts and posted personal photos on a separate website.  The detective bureau is investigating the matter.

Arrest- On Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at 7:38 p.m., Officer Randolph Plis conducted a motor vehicle stop for a careless driving violation.  During the stop it was determined that the driver, James Levier, Jr., had suspended driving privileges and an active Lacey Township Municipal warrant.  Levier, 45, was arrested and later released on his own recognizance after satisfying the bail.  He was issued a summons for Driving While Suspended.

Arrest- On Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at 1:18 a.m., Officers Dallas Gant and Brian Holt interacted with Jeffry Glassman, 22, of Tinton Falls.  During the interaction, Glassman was placed under arrest for Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance after officers discovered Xanax and a vape pen containing THC oil.  Glassman was charged and released pending a Court appearance.

Arrest- On Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at 1:55 p.m., Officer Michael Baldasari conducted a vehicle stop near the intersection of Lacey Road and Manchester Avenue.  During the stop, dispatch advised that the driver, Vincent Meglis, Jr., had an active Lacey Township Municipal Court warrant.  Meglis was arrested and later released after being charged with Driving While Suspended and Expired Registration.

Pedestrian Struck- On Thursday, October 1, 2020, at 6:22 a.m., officers responded to Western Boulevard for the report of a struck pedestrian.  Upon arrival, it was determined that a 50 year-old Lanoka Harbor man was hit by a passing vehicle.  The driver of the vehicle, also 50 years of age and from Lanoka Harbor, was traveling within the north lane when the collision occurred.  The victim was airlifted to a trauma center for head and lower extremity injuries.
