• Warrant Arrest – On Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at 2:40 p.m., Lacey Township Police Detective Keith Pearce arrested 31-year-old Jennine P Lizer, Central Boulevard, Bayville, NJ for Theft of items totaling approximately $687.00. She was processed and released on a criminal summons for the offense.
  • Criminal Mischief (Graffiti) – On Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at 5:05 p.m., Officers Patrick Watkins and Andrew Slota responded to the area of Ravine Drive and Serpentine Drive, in Forked River for a report of criminal mischief. The caller reported that a male subject was climbing a nearby utility pole and was spray painting it. The subject was issued a special form of complaint for criminal mischief (graffiti).
  • Drug Arrest/Warrant Arrest – On Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at 2:22 p.m., in the parking lot of 444 Route 9 North (WaWa), Lacey Township Police Detectives arrested 36-year-old Victoria Mas, Sandy Hook Drive, Forked River. She had an outstanding traffic warrant out of Galloway Township Municipal Court for an obstructed windshield summons, with a bail amount of $89. Victoria Mas was also found to be in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia. She was transported to police headquarters, processed and released on a criminal summons for the drug charges and released ROR on the outstanding warrant.
  • Theft (Bicycle) – On Monday, September 25, 2017, at 3:53 p.m. Officer Alan Abrecht responded to the 600 Block of Deerhead Lake Drive, Forked River, to take a report of theft. The victim reported that his 20-inch freestyle bicycle was stolen from outside his residence sometime between the 4:00 p.m. on September 24th, and 7:00 a.m. on September 25th. The value of the bike is estimated at $400.
  • Criminal Mischief (Mailbox) – On Sunday, September 24, 2017, at 1:21 p.m., Officer Alan Abrecht responded to Haines Street, Lanoka Harbor, for a damaged mailbox. The victim reported that between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2017, someone tried to remove her mailbox from the post, causing the post to be unstable and damaging the latching mechanism in the mailbox. The estimated damage to the mailbox is $75.
  • Drug Arrest/Warrant Arrest – On Sunday, September 24, 2017, at 4:23 a.m., Officer Jesse Dalziel responded to the WaWa located on Laurel Boulevard and Route 9 North, Lanoka Harbor in reference to a suspicious person. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 27-year-old Melissa D. Fillingim, Kearney Avenue, Seaside Heights, NJ, on an outstanding warrant out of Freehold Township Municipal Court for shoplifting in the bail amount of $999. Melissa Fillingim was found to have drug paraphernalia and CDS in her possession. She was transported to Police Headquarters and processed. She was later lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility to await a bail hearing.
  • Theft – On Sunday, September 24, 2017, at 3:09 p.m., Officer John Cernek responded to the Rite Aid, 101 Route 9 South, Forked River, for a theft report. The victim reported that while he was at the Western Union counter, inside the Rite Aid building, he left his wallet on the counter and it was taken. The wallet contained $60 in cash, a US Army Military ID, NJ Driver’s License, and a TD Visa Debit Card.
  • Aggravated Assault / Resisting Arrest – On Friday, September 22, 2017, at 10:56 p.m., Officers Christopher Meyler, Jesse Dalziel and Adam Ewart responded to the area of Lake Barnegat Drive North and Steuben Avenue for a report of an intoxicated male subject carrying a bat and a bottle of alcohol. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 24-year-old Kurt Maniaci, Lake Barnegat Drive North, Lanoka Harbor, NJ, for multiple counts of aggravated assault against police officers, along with obstruction of justice and resisting arrest. He was transported to Police Headquarters processed on the charges and lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility to await a bail hearing.
  • Theft – On Friday, September 22, 2017, at 8:11 p.m., Officer Jesse Dalziel responded to the Shell Gas Station, 926 Lacey Road, Forked River, to take a report of theft. The gas attendant reported that an unknown male fled the business without paying for $20 worth of gasoline. The vehicle was described as a White Chevrolet SUV with black rims and dark tinted windows. The attendant was only able to provide a partial New Jersey license plate of ED4.
  • Warrant Arrest – On Friday, September 22, 2017, at 4:25 p.m., Officer Daniel Ricciardella conducted a motor vehicle stop near 918 Lacey Road, Forked River, for tinted windows. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 39-year-old, Vincent Ciulla JR, Heather Street, Browns Mills, NJ on an outstanding no bail Burlington County NCIC warrant. He was transported to Lacey Township headquarters for processing and released to Burlington County Sheriff’s Department.
  • Fraud (Identity Theft) – On Friday, September 22, 2017, at 9:59 a.m., Officer Michael Hein met with the victim of Identity Theft at Police Headquarters. The victim recently received a package to her home that she did not order along with paperwork in reference to a PayPal account.  The victim became concerned due to the fact that she did not have a PayPal account.  When she contacted PayPal she was advised that an account had been opened up under her name and social security number.  She was unaware of anyone that may have opened up the account in her name.
