  • Shoplifting (Arrest) – On Monday, July 13, 2015, at 10:50 p.m., Officers Dimitri Tsarnas and Adam Ewart responded to the Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor for two adult female shoplifters. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 20-year-old Kiana Bass of Mermaid Avenue in Beachwood, NJ, for shoplifting merchandise valued at $99. In addition, 22-year-old Nicole A. Cholish of Mermaid Avenue in Beachwood, NJ, was arrested for shoplifting merchandise valued at $116. They were both transported to police headquarters, processed, and charged with Shoplifting.

  • Criminal Mischief – On Monday, July 13, 2015, at 5:44 p.m., Officer Dimitri Tsarnas responded to the east side of Haines Street in Lanoka Harbor for a report of criminal mischief. The complainant reported that between 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2015, an unknown person or persons shattered the back window on his vehicle that was parked in front of the residence. The cost to replace the rear window is valued at $250.

  • Warrant Arrest – On Monday, July 13, 2015, at 12:25 p.m., Officers Jeffrey Slota and Jason Lee responded to the 500 block of Elwood Street in Forked River for an unrelated ambulance call. While at the house, officers learned that one of the residents, identified as Brenna Hasse, had an outstanding Beachwood Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $500. Brenna Hasse was arrested and transported to police headquarters. She was released after posting bail.

  • Warrant Arrest (Multiple) – On Monday, July 13, 2015, at 8:38 a.m., Officer Jason Lee was on patrol in the area of TD Bank, 106 Route 9 North in Forked River, when he observed the accused, 29-year-old Dillon J. Dittonhofer of Williams Street in Forked River. Officer Lee was aware that Dillon Dittonhofer had several outstanding warrants. Dillon Dittonhofer was placed under arrest. The warrants included:
    1) Brick Township Municipal Court in the amount of $750.00.
    2) Ocean County Sheriff’s Office No Bail Warrant for Violation of Probation.
    3) Ocean County Sheriff’s Office in the amount of $5000.00.
    4) Ocean County Sheriff’s Office in the amount of $5000.00.
    5) Seaside Heights Municipal Court in the amount of $483.00.
    6) Barnegat Township Municipal Court in the amount of $500.00.
    7) Barnegat Township Municipal Court in the amount of $500.00.
    8) Stafford Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1000.00.
    Dillon Dittonhofer was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility.

  • Criminal Mischief (Township Property) – On Sunday, July 12, 2015, at 5:41 a.m., Officer Patrick Watkins was checking Hebrew Park, located at 324 Cedar Avenue in Lanoka Harbor, when he located damage. Sometime during the morning of July 11, 2015, and 5:40 a.m. on July 12, 2015, an unknown person or persons ripped shingles off the front bathroom and threw toilet paper around. The damage is estimated at $500.

  • Theft – On Saturday, July 11, 2015, at 6:50 p.m., Officer Michael Verwey responded to police headquarters for a theft report. The victim reported that between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2015, she was shopping inside the Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, when her wallet was stolen. The victim stated that she believed an unknown person or persons stole her wallet from her purse while she was in the produce area. A short time later her wallet was located and turned in to the customer service desk, however, $150.00 had been removed. The incident is under investigation.

  • Theft – On Saturday, July 11, 2015, at 4:32 p.m., Officer Christopher Meyler responded to the 700 block of Lake Barnegat Drive North in Lanoka Harbor for a theft report. The victim reported that he rents a room within the residence and within the prior three weeks, $300. 00 in cash was stolen from within.

  • DUI (Arrest) – On Saturday, July 11, 2015, at 1:23 a.m., Officer Michael Verwey conducted a traffic stop on Chelsea Street near Deerhead Lake Drive in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 43-year-old Rachel S. Samoles of Stony Point Drive in Forked River, for DUI. She was transported to police headquarters and processed. Rachel Samoles was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, Failure to Maintain Lane and Speeding. The vehicle she was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.

  • DUI (Arrest) and Warrant Arrest – On Saturday, July 11, 2015, at 12:09 a.m., Officer Dimitri Tsarnas conducted a traffic stop on Lake Barnegat Drive and Elwood Street. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 51-year-old John Tasco of Whitcomb Road in Forked River, for DUI. In addition, he had a Raritan Township Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $1,304 for his arrest. John Tasco was transported to police headquarters and processed. He was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, Failure to Maintain Lane, and Driving While Suspended. In addition he posted full bail on the warrant. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.

  • Warrant Arrests – On Friday, July 10, 2015, at 10:03 p.m., Officer Anthony Sarno was on patrol in the area of Froghollow Road and Horner Lane in Forked River, when he observed two subjects that had warrants for their arrests. Subject number one (1) was identified as 32-year-old Candice Gianettino of Frog Hollow Road in Forked River. She had an outstanding Lakewood Township Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $750. The second subject, identified as 34-year-old Matthew Jurich of Ocean Heights Avenue in Egg Harbor, NJ, had an outstanding Stafford Township Warrant in the amount of $500. They were both arrested, transported to police headquarters, and processed. Candice Gianettino was turned over to the custody of the Lakewood Township Police Department and Matthew Jurich was turned over to the custody of the Stafford Township Police Department.

  • Criminal Mischief (Township Property) – On Friday, July 10, 2015, at 8:11 p.m., Officer John D. Simonson was on patrol when he observed damage at the Ash Road Park, located at 501 Ash Road in Lanoka Harbor. Sometime during the day an unknown person or persons purposely broke the spinning tic-tac-toe board causing approximately $500 in damage.

  • Burglary, Theft, and Criminal Mischief – On Friday, July 10, 2015, at 12:12 p.m., Officer Brian Holt responded to the 800 block of East Hickory Drive in Lanoka Harbor for a report of criminal mischief. The complainant reported that sometime between 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2015 and 11:30 a.m. on Friday, July 10, 2015, an unknown person or persons damaged the front screen door to the residence to gain entry inside. The victim reported that entry was gained and items within valued at approximately $20 were stolen. The damage to the door is estimated at $150. The incident is under investigation.

  • Drug Possession (Arrest) and Criminal Mischief – On Friday, July 10, 2015, at 9:17 a.m., Officer Brian Holt and Daniel Ricciardella responded to the area of Locust Drive and Maple Road in Lanoka Harbor for a report of criminal mischief. The complainant stated that he observed an adult male damaging a motor vehicle parked on Laurel Boulevard. Upon arrival Officers located the male and identified him as 43-year-old John Locilento of Hazelton Avenue in Lanoka Harbor. An investigation at the scene led to his arrest for causing damage to a vehicle estimated at $400. In addition, John Locilento was found to be in possession of Alprazolam without a prescription. John Locilento was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and charged with Criminal Mischief and Possession of CDS.

  • Theft and Criminal Mischief – On Friday, July 10, 2015, at 7:18 a.m., Officer Darrell Nick responded to the Verizon Building located at 510 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor for a theft report. The complainant reported that between May 7, 2015, and July 10, 2015, an unknown person or persons stolen copper cables from the cell towers valued at approximately $1,300. The damage is estimated at $1,000.

  • Warrant Arrest – On Thursday, July 9, 2015, at 2:02 a.m., Officer Anthony Sarno was patrolling the 700 block of Lake Barnegat Drive North in Lanoka Harbor when he observed a suspicious vehicle. An investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the vehicle’s occupant, identified as 57-year-old Gregory Guarino of Lake Barnegat Drive North in Forked River, on an outstanding Washington Township Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $1,000. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Gregory Guarino posted bail and was released.

  • Possession and Distribution of Heroin (Arrests) – On the afternoon of Wednesday, July 8, 2015, Lacey detectives witnessed a suspected drug transaction between the drivers of two vehicles in the parking lot of Home Depot. As the vehicles departed the lot they were both detained. As the investigation continued, the driver of one vehicle, 33-year-old Eric Lenovich of Nantucket Court in Toms River, was found in possession of 50 folds containing Heroin. Further investigation following Lenovich’s arrest led to subsequent searches of both the second vehicle and a local hotel room from where it had originally departed. The search of the room yielded 100 folds containing Heroin that were consistent with those seized from Lenovich. The driver of the second vehicle, 31-year-old Jennie Feliciano of 229 Route 9 in Forked River, was determined to be the registered occupant of the hotel room and was placed under arrest. Lenovich was charged with Possession of Heroin and Possessing Heroin in a Motor Vehicle. Jennie Feliciano was charged with Possessing Heroin and Distribution of Heroin.

  • Warrant Arrest – On Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at 10:35 p.m., Officer Anthony Sarno was patrolling the area of Cedar Lake Point and Taylor Lane in Forked River when he observed the accused Dale Fleig. Officer Sarno was aware that Dale Fleig had an outstanding Lacey Township Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $318 for his arrest. Officer Sarno placed him under arrest and transported him to police headquarters. Dale Fleig was processed and transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of bail.

  • Shoplifting and Warrant Arrest – On Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at 12:48 p.m., Officer Daniel Ricciardella responded to the Walmart located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor for an adult male shoplifter. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 28-year-old Richard S. Hinman, 3rd, of Timberland Road in Bayville, NJ, for shoplifting. In addition, he was found to have two (2) warrants for his arrest. Warrant number one (1) was issued by the East Brunswick Municipal Court in the amount of $378, and warrant number two (2) was issued by the Helmetta Municipal Court in the amount of $250. Richard S. Hinman, 3rd., was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and charged with Shoplifting.

  • Theft – On Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at 4:21 p.m., Officer Brian Holt responded to the 600 block of Deerhead Lake Drive in Forked River for a theft report. The complainant reported that between 4:00 p.m. on July 7, 2015, and 4:00 p.m. on July 8, 2015, an unknown person or persons stole his orange Premium bicycle from the side yard of the residence. The bicycle, valued at $200, was not locked at the time of theft.

  • Criminal Mischief – On Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at 12:56 a.m., Officer Keith Pearce responded to the 1200 block of Taurus Court in Forked River for criminal mischief. The complainant reported that between July 4, 2015, and July 8, 2015, an unknown person or persons shattered the tempered window on the rear sliding glass door. Entry was not gained. The damage is estimated at $1,000.

  • DUI with Accident (Arrest) – On Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at 3:52 p.m., Officer Noah Schaffer responded to JRs Liquors, located at 1000 Lacey Road in Forked River, for a motor vehicle accident. It was reported that a driver was attempting to flee the scene. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 55-year-old Robert Davie of Lake Barnegat Drive South in Forked River, for DUI. He was transported to police headquarters and processed. He was released after receiving traffic summons for DUI, Reckless Driving, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and Failure to Report an Accident. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
