  • Drug Possession (Arrest) – On Monday, June 22, 2015, at 11:54 p.m., Officers John D. Simonson and Anthony Sarno responded to the 200 block of Laurel Boulevard in Lanoka Harbor for a suspicious vehicle. An investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 25-year-old Joseph Bombardier, Jr. of Tuyahov Boulevard in Toms River for Possession of Marijuana. Joseph Bombardier, Jr. was transported to police headquarters, processed, and charged on a criminal summons with Possession of Marijuana.

  • Theft – On Sunday, June 21, 2015, at 7:23 p.m., Officer Elton Copes responded to police headquarters for a report of theft. The victim reported that between 9:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on June 20, 2015, an unknown person or persons stole her Samsung Galaxy S6 cellular phone from the hostess stand at the Captain’s Inn, 304 East Lacey Road in Forked River, where she kept it while working. The cell phone is valued at approximately $800.

  • DUI (Arrest) – On Sunday, June 21, 2015, at 6:34 p.m., Officers Jason Lee and Adam Ewart conducted a traffic stop on Manchester Avenue near Veterans Way in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 32-year-old Frank Pulido, Jr. of Butler Boulevard in Bayville, NJ, for DUI. Frank Pulido, Jr. was transported to police headquarters, processed, and issued traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, Careless Driving, and Failure to Maintain Lane. The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.

  • Animal Complaint (Formal Summons) – On Monday, June 22, 2015, at 7:48 a.m., Officer Keith Pearce responded to the area of Vaughn Avenue and Tappan Street for a report of two loose pit bulls. Investigation at the scene determined that the dogs belonged to a resident on the 500 block of Devon Street in Forked River. The resident, identified as 28-year-old Matthew C. Clinton of Devon Street was issued a Special Complaint Summons for Dogs Running at Large.

  • Criminal Mischief (Township Property) – On Sunday, June 21, 2015, at 8:24 a.m., Officer Jason Lee was patrolling Hebrew Park, located at 324 Cedar Avenue in Lanoka Harbor, when he located damage to the bathrooms. During the overnight hours of Saturday, June 20, 2015 into June 21, 2015, an unknown person or persons scratched the mirrors inside both the men’s and women’s bathrooms located in the center of the park. The cost to replace the damaged mirrors is estimated at $75.

  • DUI and Drug Possession (Arrest) – On Saturday, June 20, 2015, at 2:46 p.m., Officers John Cernek and Jason Lee responded to the Wawa, located at 800 Lacey Road in Forked River, for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 25-year-old Bradley Gesser of Swordfish Road in Manahawkin, NJ, for DUI and Possession of Heroin. Bradley Gesser was transported to police headquarters, processed, and charged on criminal summonses with Possession of Heroin and Possession of Hypodermic Syringes. Bradley Gesser was also issued traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, and Possession of CDS in a Motor Vehicle. The vehicle Bradley Gesser was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.

  • Theft from an Auto – On Friday, June 20, 2015, at 12:34 a.m., Officers Adam Ewart, Robert Duffy, and Charles May responded to Latitudes Restaurant, located at 361 East Lacey Road in Forked River, for a report of a theft from a vehicle which was parked in the parking lot. It was reported that Latitudes security personnel were detaining a suspect. Upon arrival, the officers met with security personnel along with the accused, identified as 33-year-old Barry K. Summers of Capstan Drive in Beachwood, NJ. An investigation at the scene led to Barry K. Summers’ arrest for the burglary and theft, specifically for entering a vehicle at the scene and stealing tools valued at approximately $300. Barry K. Summers was transported to police headquarters, processed, and charged on a criminal warrant with bail set in the amount of $15,000. Barry K. Summers was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.

  • Warrant Arrest – On Thursday, June 18, 2015, at 2:24 p.m., Officer Jason Lee conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of Advanced Auto Parts, located at 218 Route 9 North in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 38-year-old Dina Pasquin of Forked River, on an outstanding Holmdel Township Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $240. Dina Pasquin was transported to police headquarters, processed, and released after posting bail.

  • Theft – On Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at 5:36 p.m., Officer Patrick Watkins responded to police headquarters for a theft report. The victim reported that between June 6, 2014 and June 15, 2014, an unknown person or persons stole two watches valued at a total of $700. There were no signs of forced entry and the incident is under investigation.

  • Drug Possession and Warrant (Arrest) – On Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at 11:30 p.m., Officer Patrick Watkins was on patrol when he observed a suspicious vehicle parked near Bud Mezera Park, located at 1400 Lakeside Drive South in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 50-year-old Douglas Kern of Norwood Street in Forked River on two outstanding warrants. Warrant number one (1) was issued by the Lacey Township Municipal Court in the amount of $300 and warrant number two (2) was issued by the Long Beach Township Municipal Court in the amount of $750. In addition, Douglas Kern was found to be in possession of Marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Douglas Kern was transported to police headquarters, processed, and charged on a criminal warrant with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Douglas Kern was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in default of bail on the warrants.

  • Drug Possession (Arrest) – On Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at 4:34 p.m., Officers Brian Holt and Dan Ricciardella responded to the 900 block of Elwood Street in Forked River to assist another agency. While at the residence, several pieces of drug paraphernalia, along with Marijuana were observed. As a result, 34-year-old Kevin Richmond of Elwood Street in Forked River was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Kevin Richmond was transported to police headquarters, processed, and charged on a criminal summons with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

  • DUI and Drug Possession (Arrest) – On Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at 11:00 p.m., Officers Michael Verwey and Patrick Watkins responded to the 100 block of Bay Avenue in Forked River for a suspicious vehicle. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 26-year-old Nicholas Charles of Deerhead Lake Drive in Forked River, for DUI and Possession of a Heroin. Nicholas Charles was transported to police headquarters, processed, and charged with Possession of Heroin, Possession of Hypodermic Syringes, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Nicholas Charles was also charged on traffic summonses with DUI and Reckless Driving. The vehicle Nicholas Charles was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.

  • Shoplifting and Drug Possession (Arrest) – On Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at 3:23 p.m., Officer Christopher Meyler responded to Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a male shoplifter in custody. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 34-year-old Christopher Gardocki of Edgewood Drive in Toms River for shoplifting merchandise valued at approximately $50. In addition, Christopher Gardocki was found to be unlawfully in possession of Suboxone. Christopher Gardocki was transported to police headquarters, processed, and charged with Shoplifting and Possession of a CDS.

  • Theft – On Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at 7:57 p.m., Officer Patrick Watkins responded to the 500 block of Holmes Avenue in Forked River for a theft report. The victim reported that between June 6, 2015 and June 9, 2015 a black Nikon Cool Pics LIOS digital camera valued at $150 was stolen from inside the residence. The name of a suspect was provided and the investigation is continuing.

  • Shoplifting (Arrest) – On Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at 6:23 p.m., Officers Patrick Watkins and Daniel Ricciardella responded to Walmart, located at 580 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor, for a male shoplifter in custody. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 18-year-old Louis Dautorio of Center Street in Forked River for Shoplifting. Louis Dautorio was transported to police headquarters, processed, and charged on a criminal summons with Shoplifting.
