Weather Alert – Lacey Township Police Department/Office of Emergency Management – Winter Storm Watch

*** The National Weather Service Has Issued The Below Winter Storm Watch ***

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for our area. The watch will be in effect from Wednesday Evening, January 3rd, 2018, through Thursday Evening, January 4th, 2018.  Heavy Snow is possible.  Plan on difficult travel conditions, including during the morning commute on Thursday. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 6 inches are possible (Southern and Central New Jersey). Strong winds may result in considerable drifting of snow. Significant reductions in visibility are also possible.

Please remember to remove all parked vehicles from the roadways in Lacey Township as required by ordinance.  Keeping the roadways clear during and after a snow fall is necessary so the Lacey Township Department of Public Works can effectively clear the snow from the streets.  Vehicles left in the roadway may be ticketed and towed.  Furthermore, please make sure all portable basketball hoops, garbage cans, etc. are removed from the roadway.

I would like to thank everyone in advance for complying with these requests.

Thank you.
