The Ocean County Police Chiefs Association launch a centralized training process

The Ocean County Police Chiefs Association and 23 of its member agencies have entered into an agreement to conduct a centralized testing process.  The results from this exam will be used for the selection process for entrance into the Ocean County Police Academy Alternate Route Certification Program .  Twenty-two Ocean County Police Departments will also use the results from this exam to fill current and anticipated vacancies for full time and/or Special Law Enforcement Officer positions.  Lacey Township Police Department will be utilizing this process when hiring part-time Special Law Enforcement Officers only as we are a Civil Service Police Department and must follow the CSC guidelines (http://www.state.nj.us/csc/seekers/jobs/announcements/) when hiring officers for full-time police department positions.
