Fraudulent Phone Call – A resident of the Pheasant Run section of Lacey Township reported receiving a telephone call from a person with a heavy Middle Eastern accent. The caller stated that he worked for Microsoft and needed to access the resident’s computer to make repairs. The resident immediately recognized the call as fraudulent and disconnected from the caller. As has been reported in the past, this is a very common fraud attempt from both foreign countries and from within this country. The callers are usually not within the state and tend to make their attempts with more senior residents.
