Thefts from Vehicles – On Friday, October 18, 2013, a resident of Hemlock Drive as well as a resident of Camden Court in Lanoka Harbor reported that during the overnight hours from Thursday, October 17, 2013 to Friday, October 18, an unknown person or persons entered their unlocked vehicle(s) and stole miscellaneous items from the passenger compartment(s). Items reported stolen from the Camden Court incident included vehicle paperwork, while the Hemlock Drive incident involved the theft of a black purse containing various items including a debit card. Use of the debit card was unsuccessfully attempted at 2:39 a.m. on Friday, October 18, 2013, up the roadway at Kearney Federal Savings. The matter is currently under investigation.
