Burglary of a Residence – On Thursday, May 15, 2014 (Today), at 2:30 p.m. the Lacey Township Police Department responded to the 1000 block of Clifton Street in Forked River for a report of a home burglary. The homeowner reported that between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2014, an unknown person or persons gained entry to the home through an unlocked window and stole approximately $2,000 worth of jewelry from the home. Detective Brian Flynn along with the Criminal Investigations Unit (CIU) and a K-9 team from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department are on scene continuing the investigation.
