The Lacey Township Police Department has partnered together with the Lacey Township Recreation Department and the Municipal Alliance, to open the Gille Park skate park, for Lacey Township residents, every other Friday evening. The events started in August 2016, and will continue through October 28th, 2016. The remaining dates include September 16th, and 30th, along with October 14th and 28th, 2016. During each event the skate park will be open from 7:00 p.m. until 11:00 pm, with a live DJ playing music until 10:00 p.m.

Lighting is provided by the Lacey Township Police Department with assistance from both the Forked River and Lanoka Harbor Fire Departments. In addition, both the Lacey Township EMS and Lanoka Harbor EMS will be on scene. The skate park is specifically for the use of skateboards, scooters, and in-line skates.  Bicycles are not permitted. All users are required to wear a helmet in the skate park at all times, and follow all of the posted skate park rules. Bottled water will be permitted in the park.

The October 28th, 2016 event will also include a Halloween costume contest. Additional details to follow.
