The above photo depicts (left to right) Lacey Township’s newest Police Officers, Dallas Gant, Anthony Ravallo, and Bruce Carver, Jr. All three were appointed during last night’s Township Meeting (October 10th, 2019). 

 

On the evening of Thursday, October 10th, 2019, Bruce Carver, Jr., Anthony Ravallo, and Dallas Gant,  were sworn in as Lacey Township Police Department’s newest police officers.

Bruce Carver, Jr., grew up in South Toms River, NJ and graduated from Toms River High School South in 2010. He attended Ocean County College and then transferred to Stockton University where he graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. After college, Officer Carver was hired by the Point Pleasant Beach Police Department as a Class II Special Police Officer. In 2017, he was hired as a full-time police officer by the South Toms River Police Department and remained there until being hired by Lacey Township. While working for the South Toms River Police Department, Officer Carver was very active with the Neighborhood Watch program. He also enjoyed being proactive and focusing on narcotics enforcement. Officer Carver resides in Lacey Township with his Fiance’ Jessica.

Anthony Ravallo grew up in Beachwood, NJ and graduated from Toms River High School South in 2012. After high school he attended both Ocean County College and Fairleigh Dickinson University where he continues to work on his degree in Criminal Justice. In 2014 Officer Ravallo was hired by the Seaside Park Police Department as a Class I Special Police Officer and later, after graduating the police academy, a Class II Special Police Officer. In 2017 Officer Ravallo was hired by the South Toms River Police Department as a Class II Special Police Officer and later as a full-time police officer. He remained with the South Toms River Police Department until joining our agency. While working for the South Toms River Police Department Officer Ravallo was active in the Neighborhood Watch Program and was also a member of the Ocean County Regional SWAT Team. Officer Ravallo resides in Lacey Township with his wife Miranda and their 6-month old baby girl.

Dallas Gant is a lifelong resident of Lacey Township, graduating from Lacey Township High School in 2008 where he lettered in both Baseball and Basketball. After graduating from high school, Officer Gant attended Coastal Carolina University and graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. In 2015 he was hired by the Seaside Heights Police Department as a Class I Special Police Officer and after graduating the Ocean County Police Academy, was appointed as a Class II Special Police Officer. In 2017 Officer Gant was hired by the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department where he initially worked as an Investigator and later as a Sheriff’s Officer. Officer Gant worked in different sections of the Sheriff’s Office, most recently their Marine Unit. Officer Gant resides in Lacey Township.

Each new officer has been assigned to the Patrol Division and has been placed with a Field Training Officer (FTO).

In the past 30 days the Lacey Township Police Department has hired four new police officers. Two of the police officers are replacements for officers that have since retired and two are new additions. I would like to thank the Governing Body for their support with hiring these new officers.
