On Tuesday, December 11, 2018, the Lacey Township Police Department provided a news release regarding an online video recording containing the death of a Raccoon in Lacey Township. Since then we have received several inquires as to the status of the investigation.
I would like to inform everyone that the investigation is still ongoing. The Lacey Township Police Department, in conjunction with the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office and the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife are working together on this matter.
An updated news release will be forthcoming upon conclusion of the investigation.
