Township News – Lacey Township Police Department – Structure Fire – Caffrey’s Tavern – September 5, 2018

On Wednesday, September 05, 2018 at 8:54 a.m., the Lacey Township Police Department received multiple phone and 911 calls reporting a large volume of smoke coming from the roof of Caffrey’s Tavern, located at 440 Route 9 South in Forked River. Upon arrival, officers observed heavy smoke emanating from the kitchen area of the restaurant along with large volumes of flames coming from the roof.
