On Tuesday, June 12, 2018, Officers Jason Lee and Jesse Dalziel were honored at the 2019 MADD New Jersey Law Enforcement Recognition event at the Rutgers College in New Brunswick, NJ. Both officers were honored by the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) organization for their consistent and diligent DUI enforcement efforts.  The officers serve within the uniformed patrol division of the Lacey Township Police Department and are known locally for their consistent efforts in DUI enforcement. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – June 7th through June 13th, 2019

      Warrant Arrest- At 7:45 pm, Friday, June 7, 2019, Officers Scott Keefe and Anthony Sarno responded to a Nantucket Road, Forked River home in reference to a dispute.  Officers located James Wareham on the porch of the home and it was determined that he was wanted for several outstanding warrants.  Wareham, 34, was placed under arrest for the warrants, both originating from Trenton, and transported to headquarters. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – May 24th through May 30th, 2019

      Warrant Arrest- At 1:34 am, Friday, May 24, 2019, Officer Sarno conducted the check of a suspicious vehicle in a commercial parking lot.  The vehicle was occupied by John Mrvica, 44, of Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania.  Mrvica was placed under arrest after two outstanding warrants were discovered. Weekly Police Blotter – Lacey Township Police Department – May 17th through May 23rd, 2019

      Drug Arrest- On Friday, May 17, 2019, Officers Holt and Schaffer responded Wawa, Lanoka Harbor, for a suspicious person.  Upon their arrival, officers discovered 35 year-old Robert Sammis of Ocean Gate sleeping in his vehicle.  Officers also observed an amount of heroin between the legs of Sammis.  Sammis was charged with Possession of Heroin and released in accordance with bail reform. Township News – Lacey Township Police Department – Memorial Day Parade – Monday, May 27, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.

Memorial Day Parade - On Monday, May 27th, 2019, at approximately 9:45 a.m. traffic will be blocked on Lacey Road from just west of the Forked River Elementary School (Caldwell Avenue) to three blocks west of the Lacey Township Municipal Building (Newark Avenue).
